Okay, you all gave some very interesting guesses – and a few of you were pretty close. But here’s the skinny:
The two photos were both taken of me in 1986, about 2 months apart, before and after a facelift. Not sure why I embarked on this “adventure” – I guess I was tempted by the frugal price because it would be done in conjunction with nasal surgery needed to correct a deviated septum. The photos were taken in the office of my plastic surgeon and I gave him permission to use them for an article in an Indianapolis magazine about various types of plastic surgery, a Before and After illustration of a facelift.
To answer some of the questions people often ask me about this surgery: Is there a lot of pain? YES – and I accused the doctor of lying when he had told me in advance that “you will feel some discomfort.” “Discomfort” my foot!!!! Ask Brad how long he had to bring icepacks to me, night and day! However, once I healed I was happy I had this done. People said it took at least 10 years off my 48-year-old face. Fifteen years later I had some additional work done on my eyes and forehead, by the same doctor. I guess I had forgotten the pain and was tempted again with a frugal price because I gave him permission to train an assistant during the surgery!
Would I consider any more face “repair”? Nope, no matter how much I start sagging again! I don’t want to face any unnecessary pain at my age – and Brad says he’s getting too old for all that day and night icepack duty. Many people have asked if I would recommend that they consider a facelife. I say that I have never regretted it – plus there have been advances in plastic surgery in the last 15 years that have reduced the recovery time. But be careful what plastic surgeon you choose – look for lots of recommendations.

I took a shot at it and I guess I came pretty close. The Queen of Comps has always been good to me and I really enjoyed putting together my guess. THANKS!
Did Dr. Perkins personally do yours or a colleague?
I knew it was a facelift. I had one a year ago, by the same doctor in Indy. There is a price to pay with the recovery, but so worth the results.
Victor Shaw was very close….he said it was you….before and after a facelift and the pics were for an advertisement (instead of an article), and gave the years as 1984-1985. Pretty darn good deduction on his part with only the photos to work with. Kudos Victor.
The photo on the left is a very attraction lady, no doubt. WOW the photo on the right is an early thirties beauty with Brad having to watching all the men around you.
