The drum is closed!
I offered these gift certificates because I was feeling bad that so many of our comps go to waste. Now I am feeling bad that so many of you wanted to “win” but didn’t. Oh dear! 🙁 However, a lot of you did state that you would still like me even if you didn’t score a free room. Thank you!

Probably I will have more of these “gift certificates” to offer in the future – so don’t give up hope!
I wonder if it has entered the gaping voids (where the brain would normally reside) in the heads of Vegas casino operators that if they offered TRANSFERRABLE comps, people would beat a path to their doors? If I were running a locals’ casino, I could double my business just by handing out buffet coupons, etc. rather than player-specific comps.
Why hasn’t this occured to anybody? You can’t even really say it has occured to CET, since the coupons you got were obviously a super-special perk for the absolute best players. Given that comps in general have tightened up so drastically in recent years, any value-adding change would be welcomed by casino customers. Wouldn’t people play longer if they would earn comps that could be used as gifts (or sold on EBay, for that matter)? It’s not like it would cost the casinos anything to make that possible. Such a move would double a given casino’s business at no cost! However, it’s so simple, easy, effective, and obvious that no casino suit will ever think of it.
