It has been quite a while since I lived in Atlanta. But here is the trick to spending time there if you have time to spare. The Atlanta airport is overcrowded, the AC breaks down the food places are too busy, there are people everywhere. Its an awful place. However, there is a place to get away from it all. Take the underground train that connects each terminal to the International Terminal, flights going to another country. That was the new terminal when I left and it is completely different than the rest of the airport. Not crowded, has a mall for shopping and a fast food court not busy. You dont need to be flying internationally to go here, but if you have hours to kill you can get away from the mayhem. It isnt crowded more like the opposite. You can keep track of your flight from there and take the train back at whatever time you feel like is comfortably safe to be there for boarding.

I know what you mean about frugal DNA, if I have a grocery coupon for $5.00 off $50, I will work very hard to hit 50 on the nose and feel like I hit a slot jackpot if I go 50.10. I don’t need the savings but I still find it entertaining. Hoping for many more trip reports from you, like a newsletter from an old friend.

Oh Jean-thank you so much for sharing your wonderful adventures! They are a joy to read and I am so glad you are getting a break. As much as we love and adore those we care for, we simply must be refreshed from time to time in order to continue to give our loved ones the care they deserve. I am a dreadful gambler but love to play. You have inspired me to learn to play better so I can continue to enjoy it longer. Last but not least, thank you for your wonderful pandemic entry. I can no longer find it on the site but the way you wrote it spoke right to my heart. Cannot wait for the next entry about your trip!
