Harrah’s Computer Glitch?

There has been some panic over reports that Harrah’s is not giving Seven Star status to some video poker players even when they earned the required 100,000 Reward Credits in 2009. Inquiries to casino personnel have not produced consistent answers, but it “seems” that there was a major computer glitch and  many players who had earned at least 100,000  points were notified that they had reached Diamond level instead of Seven Star.

Earning 100,000 Reward Credits doesn’t automatically give you Seven Star status; you must be “approved” on the corporate level. However, this approval has always been routine if there are no credit problems, no legal issues, or if the player had not been barred for some reason. However, sometimes the approval process has taken a frustrating long time, weeks or even months.

Usually your host is the one who initiates the approval process, so if you earned 100,000 tier points (no multipliers count) in 2009 and haven’t yet been notified that you are now Seven Star, talking to your host is the best first step.
