The full-page ad on the back of the Coast monthly magazine (included in the R-J newspaper one day early in the month) screamed: “Pump up your Connection – Get your 2 cents worth!”
You can get a 2-cents-per-gallon discount on all gasoline purchases through December 31 at any of Rebel Oil’s 50 participating stations with your Club Coast Card (Gold Coast, Orleans, Suncoast, Sam’s Town) or B Connected Card (California, Fremont, Main Street Station).
This is a unique use of a slot club card, since you can insert it right at the pump. But there is a limit to this discount – 15 gallons per transaction.
I guess we would do this if we routinely bought Rebel gas, but as frugal as I am – and Brad says I’m nutty frugal – I don’t think I would make an effort for 30 cents!
P.S. Some will find the coupons in this magazine worthwhile if you want to play at a Coast casino. They include food discounts and multiple-point days. There is also information on Senior-Day promotions: Mondays at the Gold Coast; Tuesdays at the Orleans and Suncoast; and Thursdays at Sam’s Town and Suncoast.
I’ve seen people wait in line for at least an hour just to get a $5 buffet at Silverton. Why not dumpster dive at McDonalds. About the same quality…5$ cheaper…no lines.
You are right to be unimpressed by this lousy 30c off promotion! What an insult to their players! They should have made it worthwhile: e.g. 10c off per gallon, maximum 40 gallons, or similar. 30c is not worth driving out of your way for, that’s for sure!
I visited Las Vegas in mid-November and saw this promotion when I was filling up the rental car for return. The problem I had was that the Rebel gas station had the Unleaded gas posted at $.03 per gallon higher than the station across the street. Even with the Coast promotion the gas would have been a penny per gallon higher. Not a deal in my book.
The Coast monthly R-J newspaper insert is not included for delivery to Mesquite Zip code 89027. A check with R-J customer service revealed that since Coast pays for the insert it they can designate who gets it and Mesquite is not on the list.
Even though Mesquite casinos have plenty of NSUD and JOB video poker we still enjoy almost weekly trips to the big city and would love to receive the Coast insert.
By the way the Eureka Casino in Mesquite usually has double points on Mondays.

Age is 50+. There are buffet specials, point multipliers, discounted movies. See individual slot clubs for details since not all the casinos have the same promotions.
Hee hee. This is actually quite funny, if you think about it. SAVE THIRTY CENTS! Woo hoo! It’s another sign of casinos’ correct perception that a large proportion of its customer base is severely math-challenged. Remember when Bally’s, I think it was, was screaming on its marquee that others pay only 3-2 on blackjacks, but WE PAY 6 to 5!!!!!! ? LOL!
What are the Coast casinos senior goodies mentioned, and what is their definition of “senior”? Is it over 50, like Stations?
