Thank you for your blog Jean – it’s been very helpful over the years. I’ve never believed in being lucky until last month when I went to Biloxi, MS. I took my elderly handicapped mom and drove all night from Florida to stay at the IP, now owned by Boyd Gaming. We arrived at 5 a.m. -- too early to check-in so we headed for the Casino. Within 15 minutes, I hit 4 aces with a deuce ($500) on a quarter machine while sipping Bloody Marys at the Torch Bar. Then a couple of hours later I got a Royal Flush in diamonds at a $1 machine outside the High Limit area for $4000.00 (they took out $120 for the gaming commission and paid me the rest in $100 bills). I was only walking by and something made me stop at the center machine in a row. I put in a $100 bill and had $142 on the machine when two cards to the Royal popped up. I never ever played a $1 dollar machine. It was a great start before even checking in! I ran lucky the whole week and put 48,000 points on a new B-Connected Card. I also played at the Grand, Boomtown and Jimmy Buffet’s new casino. Lady Luck was certainly with me that trip!
