For the Harrahs properties in Atlantic City, they have a firm position that they do not replace any mailed offers that contain free play vouchers or anything where the mailed offer is required for redemption. Their suggestion is for you to talk to your postmaster as to why you are not getting your mail!

Easier to comlain about the mailers if you are a frequent visitor or a local. I get to Vegas 1 time a year and make Platinum at HET properties. I get offers online but never the mailers. I complain in person every year and have emailed their customer service. They refuse to honor my online offers and say “you should be getting them”. I have given up.

You can also check online to see your offers from the casinos. Harrahs, MGM Mirage, Stations, Venetian/Palazzo and Boyd all let you do this. I just recently went on the MGM and Harrahs sites and was surprised to see all the offers I have available!

Thanks, Cecil. It is good to know that the player’s status does have some bearing on the tax offer. But the Venetian must have done away with offering players a percentage of the IRS refund amount. Maybe it was just too costly to the casino’s bottom line.

I received the Venetian offer via email and mine was for $400 in slot credits plus $100 for cashing the IRS check.

Thanks, Jean, for this info on mailed offers. Speaking mailed offers, I read about the Club Grazie tax refund offer of previous years — getting a certain percentage of one’s tax refund as slot credits if you cash the refund check at the Venetian/Palazzo. But what I received today was this instead:

I wondered if higher rated players received a better offer; or is this it due to casino financial woes?
