Skyline has not downgraded their inventory and I believe on the FPDW you earn points at half the rate as their other VP machines.

My wife and I visited the Skyline on 4/29 to join their club. The card printer was down and we couldn’t get cards. I eventually got a card, but it still wouldn’t print one for my wife. The woman at the cage/slot club told us that this has been an ongoing problem. Might want to call ahead to see if the card printer is working. No guarantee that it will still be working when you get there.

Great advice on Mother’s Day. I would have never thought of that. I should try to celebrate every holiday a day early to beat the crowd. Christmas Eve might be tough though since it’s connected to Christmas. Any thoughts?

Do you happen to know if Skyline has downgraded their inventory and whether whatever FPDW machines they do have pay full points? If so, those would be the only FPDW games in town that do (with ONE exception, the location of which I will not reveal).

I have a simple solution for the Mother’s Day restaurant crunch–take Mom out on Saturday instead. It will be far less crowded, and prices will be normal instead of the inflated “Mother’s Day Specials.”

For those who might be planning to come to Vegas over Memorial Day weekend–my advice is “don’t.” Room rates for that weekend are absolutely sky-high out-of-this-world ridiculous. And of course, the town will be jam-packed. Just think of the 150-mile-long traffic jam heading back to LA Monday night…

The Palms remodel looks great, but the casino is still very linear, which means it can be a long walk from either garage to where you want to go. Valet parking (at the midpoint of the casino) is a much better option, even given the extra wait and cost.
