More November Promotions

Note:  A friend gave another idea for waiting near the Las Vegas airport.  He says there is a vacant lot going south on Paradise, just past Trop on the right side, that he uses as his “cell phone lot.”

 

THE WESTIN LAS VEGAS

On November 1 the Casuarina Casino at the Westin Las Vega changed its name to the MAX casino.  Thank goodness – I never learned how to pronounce that old name.  The new name is probably a nod to the old name of that property before it was called the Westin – the Maxim.  Lots of memories of super promotions there – but I don’t expect that to return.

Big news here:  Monday and Friday bonus points have been downgraded from 10x to 7x for video poker.  They remain at 10x for slots.

On Thursday, November 28 (Thanksgiving Day), most senior Thursday programs will not be in effect: no mini-baccarat lessons, mini-baccarat tournament, blackjack tournament, food discounts, and no $4 movies.

BOYD PROPERTIES (Gold Coast, Suncoast, Orleans, Sam’s Town)

There is talk that players will have to start swiping their players cards at a kiosk before playing in order to get any multiplier points.  However, I can’t find any employee that knows if/when this will take effect.  I know I’m going to check the kiosk every time and see if there is a swipe choice for this before I play until I know for sure.  You aren’t going to sneak this change in on me!
