When I read the following from a recent press release from Caesars Entertainment, I immediately thought to myself, “I can’t believe a casino employee at any level would think up such an explosive politically incorrect ad!

Daily “Drink Us Dry” Specials:…………..
A few hours later I read a “corrected” press release. Surprise! “Drink us Dry” was totally eliminated. Methinks some heads may roll over this!
And by the way, Channel 8 must not have received the “corrected” news release. This morning they were mentioning this “Drink us Dry” promotion.
What about the Heart Attack Grill! Someone has already had a heart there. I think there are many people who show up in Vegas with the intention of drinking the whole dam town dry!
Jean you are completely correct that one must always be politically correct or be ready to suffer the rath of our legal system. For those that disagree I trust they have never had the pleasure of a lawsuit (not) in our lawsuit crazy society. Heck we just got subpoened in a suit that at a dog park, a dog ran into a lady, she fell and fractured her leg. Hence a lawsuit against the dog owner. Imagine that a dog running into someone.
So don’t tell me if someone was injured leaving O’Sheas, whether in a car, or a fight or just walking, a lawsuit
could be a real possibility. Like it or not it’s our current way of life.
I assumed the indignance was tongue-in-cheek.
Right?
O’sheas is considered a “major casino?”
that’s the real shocker.
Wow…politically incorrect? I just lost all kinds of respect for Jean Scott. Give me a friggin’ break. If you don’t like it, go play somewhere else!! Ridiculous!!
My dear Mrs Scott,
Would you please be kind enough to explain just why this is such an explosive politically incorrect ad. Maybe O’Sheas will put out specials of product that they have a small quantity of so people can drink them dry of it. That might get rid of a few bottles that they would have to place in another establishment. I would think that the paperwork would be lessened if there isn’t as much product to move to another property. Since they didn’t say \drink us dry and drive away drunk\ or \drink us dry and fight strangers on the strip\ I don’t get the explosive political incorrectness. We’ll be in Vegas on the 30th, but won’t be at O’Sheas since they don’t have a beer I’ll drink anyway. I do think that a \drink us dry\ promotion is pretty good for a closing.
As always I wish you and Brad the best of luck in all you do…….Rich
Why is it so politically incorrect to be fun in your advertising. Geez.
Let marketing have some fun with their last effort.
I can’t believe it’s been 23 years. My sister and I were there when it first opened, beautiful wooden floors, clean as a whistle, very nice owner that greeted us and spoke with us about the new casino he was opening and the kinds of machines that were there to play. What a change from those first years. I was sorry to see it go downhill so much. Always used to stay at the IP and go next door to O’Sheas on our way to casino hopping.
