Pre-Thanksgiving

It looks like my last blog entry, about casino noise, really struck a chord (pardon the pun) in many readers.  Someone asked whether I ever received any input from casinos, acknowledging that they are taking notice of my blog and/or the comments.  I don’t know about this – no casino executive has ever contacted me about anything written here.  However, I do know that some casinos have people monitoring Internet chatter about casinos in general and their property in particular.  So I am hoping my blog and your comments are getting to casino executive ears!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day.  People often ask Brad and me how we celebrate holidays as a local in Las Vegas.  Well…. tomorrow’s holiday will be a typical combo day.  Part of the day will be spent with family and friends – my sister is cooking up a turkey dinner and we will enjoy the home-cooked meal, a nice change from casino restaurants.  And part of the day will be spent chasing multiple-point bonuses.  But most of all we will be giving thanks for the blessings in our life:  So many friends, our love for each other, a loving extended family.

We wish such blessings for all of you on this coming Thanksgiving Day.

Free Shows in Vegas

There are scores of shows in Vegas every day and not all of them sell out every performance.  Show people prefer to perform in front of a good-size audience.  Thus, there are companies that provide them “butts in the seats” by offering to their members free tickets to undersold shows, concerts, and sporting events.  Below are three such companies that I know of that offer this service. A Southern Gambling Trip Report (Part 2) – Goals

Okay, we have decided to combine visits to two casinos, Harrah’s New Orleans and Grand Biloxi and  have chosen a date that starts near the end of one month and ends in the beginning of the next month –  to double our benefits.

Actually there were a couple more “dips” on our Southern Trip ice-cream cone. Continue reading
