We love the free-Megabucks credits the Palms gives us 3 times a week, but their new system for this is not customer-friendly. Now you have to stand in TWO lines instead of one. First, you have to go to the Cage to get your free-pull voucher – and the line is often very long, especially on Fridays when it swells with check-cashers. Then you go to the area where the Megabucks machines are located and wait in another line until the employee calls you to choose your machine.
Note to casinos: We do not like to stand in long lines anywhere in your properties. We get cranky. Cranky customers are apt to take off without playing! Organized promotions that flow well make customers happy. Happy customers are likely to play more in casinos that make them happy.
Good news! This week when we went to the Palms they had a special Cashier’s window dedicated to issuing a coupon for one or two free pulls (depending on your offer for March). We still had to stand in 2 line but they were much quicker.
I don’t understand the \going to the cage first\ part of this. It shouldn’t be necessary. The clerk at the promotion in the Megabucks area should be able to swipe your players card and the computer should tell him or her exactly how many spins you are entitled to. Furthermore, if you have a high-level card (such as President or Chairman at the Stations, for example), it should serve as a line pass. I hope you’re passing along your frustration to the folks at the Palms for their consideration in the future.
