Hello JR I come fr NY and have worked on large Construction projects. I think u do not know what u are talking about. If u ever have eaten at Katz’s deli which is a landmark in NY u will never eat again at the SP café > My Air Force food was better. About the job of construction for the renovation of the SP buffet. The Empire State Bldg was built in 1 yr. Gaughn is just Cheap. I still believe the renovation should not take that long. Good luck in Texas. They have a great Senator in Cruz.

To Mr. Adler: I owned a restaurant supply and metal fabrication company in Texas for over 15 years. During that time my company designed, built and remodeled restaurant kitchens all over the southwest. You have no idea what you are talking about. There is absolutely no way a remodel job as large as what South Point is undertaking could be completed in 2-3 weeks, even if you shut down the buffet completely. Their buffet line is over 100 feet long. The old salad bar was walled off and shut down completely and it took several months to change the design. New marble counter tops, 30-40 feet of new sneeze guards, two custom vent hoods, new built in steam tables and new refrigeration. Certain things can’t be started until others are completed. A remodel has a sequence, and if it’s not done correctly the first time, you’re going to have a punch list that will add weeks to the job. So, to call someone “cheap” when you have no idea what you’re talking about is just wrong. Plus, I’ve had lunch at the Coronado Cafe more times than I can count since South Point opened in 2005, and I’ve NEVER once had a BAD meal there, and the service has always been friendly and attentive.

I was at SOUTPOINT last week and had lunch at the coffee shop. The WORST. I had a deli sandwich and it was the Worst. the Buffet is no better > They have been having construction in stages and it’s a joke. A normal casino closes the room for 2-3 weeks and gets it done . They get away with it because most guests do not know better. The only good thing is VP which is full pay. It is tight. I still go to M. Class place. Gaughn should take some lessons.

Yes, you can buy all my books and other HP titles in person at the LVA office. I did autograph some of the copies of my new book – you can ask if there are any of those available there. I am always glad to personally autograph books if you can track me down in a casino somewhere in Vegas! 🙂

I saw this weekend that the Tuscany is introducing a new tiered players club at the first of the year. Have you heard anything about this? It could be good news….but new clubs scare me now after the B Connected disaster.
