Here’s a great example of a “scramble”. South Point has a daily swipe worth roughly $10 (most of the time, you get $7 value but occasionally worth $25 or $50), for $200 coin-in, which costs 54 cents in -EV when you play NSUD–but you get that back in slot club points. On Wednesdays this month, $400 coin-in at Coast casinos gets you three swipes worth at least $5 each–and earn back at least 0.1% in points. This means that for an hour’s effort or less at each place, you can pick up a total of $25 on Wednesday; other days, you can still snag $10 at South Point. We did this every day on our recent visit. At worst, we earned a free lunch, or enough points to pay for one. We even used the free movie tickets to see a fun popcorn movie (“X-Men”).
This might not seem like a very big deal, but $25+ of +EV for $600 coin-in is +4%.

For people who always complain about not getting specific advice about good plays, this is about as specific as it gets. Only the blind would not see it.
