Jean and Brad:
I want to thank you both for letting us all live vicariously through you. We all remember our first Royal or the feeling of staying in a room that was comped (especially after winning a sizable jackpot!). Reading your stories for all these years brought many of those moments back. We never did meet you in person but I want you to know that my wife and I, and, indeed, millions of your fans (friends?) wish you and Brad a very relaxing second retirement full of love, family, and friendship. You enriched all of our lives over the years and probably helped our pocketbooks a bit also.
Have a great retirement!

Love the New Years picture.
I am sure the pace and apartment sound restful.
You can rest anytime you want and not rush off to drive or redeem an offer.

The WEATHER well that's the South. Love the desert for Low humidity.

Hello, Jean,

So sorry I missed saying goodbye to you and Brad before you left Las Vegas. I didn’t arrive until after you had left.

So glad your move has gone smoothly so far. Take your time unpacking all those boxes.

Best to you and Brad.

Maybe we shouldn't discourage locals (of Columbus, GA) from patronizing local casinos just because the odds on the games would be worse than on those in Vegas. Why? Because for most of those people it would cost well over $400/person to travel to/from and stay in Vegas, and the amount of money they would lose in Columbus might not be $400 more than they would lose in Vegas.

So good to hear that you made it and are settling in. We are visiting the Palms this weekend on an offer that we can’t refuse. I will reminisce about meeting you there way back in the Maloof days.

Not likely that any such casino would have any games you would be remotely interested in playing...but I make it even money that if a casino opens up in Columbus, somebody there will ask you for an endorsement or a celebrity appearance or autograph session or something.

Of course, you're not going to say that your frugal advice is "Avoid the Columbus Golden Peanut Casino!," even if it's the truth :)
