Great article and I think the background in the pix of Angela cooling you off has a spectacular view of the sky and mountains.
I read that Vegas tied temp records this year.
117 degrees, I think it might have been that hot the summer they were building the Mirage. Thanks for the fun details.

Experienced Las Vegas in all seasons during our 60 some trips since 1992 . You are right , this was NOT the best time of year for your outing , but glad you all had a great time in spite of the Nevada heat in August . We also live in Columbus, Georgia , but our temperatures here in the summer do not at all compare to the heat in Vegas during the day . Glad you didn’t suffer any heat related problems , especially Brad and your Mom . The area you are writing about is absolutely beautiful , just not the kind of adventure to go on in August .

My thanks to the Frugal Princess for this enjoyable article. I saw Jean and Brad in the Gold Coast playing NSUD using an Emerald Card on a multiple points day which made their EV positive just a few weeks ago. It’s such a pleasure to see Video Poker celebrities in Las Vegas and Jean Scott was my third.

Thanks again Angela for the story and the pics. You make Las Vegas even more fun.
