Updates and Odds and Ends

Did you go to https://www.progressivevp.com/ to read about Frank Kneeland’s book, The Secret World of Video Poker Progressives, and were unable to order it?  I – and Frank –  are happy to announce that the problem is now fixed.

—————–

I often find out that frugal fans have seen Brad and me out in a casino and were reluctant to introduce themselves and say hi.  Please – feel free to do so.  It is never an unwelcome gesture, whatever we are doing – eating, playing VP, or whatever.  We love to meet other frugalites.

———–

Some have wondered how Brad and I are feeling, having heard that I came home from the Alaskan cruise with a nasty upper respiratory infection and then got worse with a lung virus .  Guess I take sharing too seriously and gave Brad the same maladies.   It was a miserable couple of weeks, but we won the battle.

But no sooner than we had recovered from all that misery, Brad’s persistent kidney stone problem flared up, with one small stone deciding to begin its journey to the outside world.  How can one little stone cause such agony?  Now, it has decided to stop its trip in the tube between the kidney and the bladder.  Ornery little stone.  Brad hates when it moves – but wishes it would just get the trip finished – and fast!

My husband too suffered from kidney stones twice . Once the stone passed by itself , the other time it was removed in the hospital under general anesthesia . Had it done early in the morning , was home by late afternoon . These stones , no matter how small can cause GREAT pain as I have witnessed , so why not have his urologist help it along a bit !

  2. Mary says:

I’m so sorry — my dad had them frequently, and my partner is prone to them if too much tea/coffee/colas. I know it is the most excruciating pain ever and I am hoping Brad gets well soon! I hope to meet you both someday.

  3. Sharon Serres says:

My husband also has kidney stones and they have a machine at the hospital that blasts them apart and then the suffering is over. We live in Wisconsin.
