Jean, we no longer have a Harrah’s Casino in St. Louis. It’s a Hollywood Casino now. They sold out about eight months ago.

I gamble at Windsor Caesar every week and are partaking in a promotion. I stay overnite because i was told the promotion starts at midnite and runs to 11:59 pm. I also am getting your email messages 3x for each blog.

Illinois casinos must be closed for 2 hours…they can & do pick different times.

You’re referring to Clinton’s famous comment, “It depends on what the definition of ‘is’ is.” Many people don’t get what he was saying–it actually made perfect sense. Similarly, since (especially in Nevada) casinos have ultimate power over the law, money, life, death, etc., why shouldn’t they be able to say what the definition of “day” is? After all, they’ve redefined terms like “binding contract,” (a contract a casino can break at any time) and “cheating,” (player: playing well; casino: no such thing).
Another way to look at it is: since casinos redefine reality all the time (you’re in New York City! you’re inside one of the Great Pyramids!), why shouldn’t they redefine time as well?

Illinois casinos are not open 24 hours a day. By law they must close at 6:00am and can reopen starting at 9:00am. The state is looking into changing that law, finally!
