I think that your change of approach is correct. You really can't, as a visitor, even an experienced and savvy one, expect to get the bargains and deals you could have when Frugal One was written--and things are worse now than they were even five years ago. In particular, playing fullpay VP gets you nothing, nothing, nothing. So I think the focus has to shift from "free vacation" to "vacation where you don't get completely slaughtered."
The Frugal mindset still applies, though, perhaps now more than ever. You have to HATE the idea of paying too much for things that should be cheaper or could be gotten for free with a little effort. Unfortunately, most Vegas visitors would rather just leave their minds in the glove compartment and as a result, pay full price for everything. Should the MGM paid parking lots be empty? Of course--but they aren't. Should Strip casinos charging $25+ daily "resort fees" be deserted? Of course--but the lemmings pour in anyway. Bottom line, Vegas is one place in particular where if you don't care about being ripped off, you will be. Over and over and over.

Thanks, I will be sure to try to get an autographed one, I was on the west coast recently but you were on the east coast. As we returned the New England, the weather sure gave us a chilling reminder of winter, hope you are staying warm.

Is there another option to get my older ones autographed ( by both you and Brad)??

Health permitting, I hope to be back in Vegas next year and will bring my books with me.
Thanks, MO (Happy Holidays)
