First of all, I love the PODCAST! I have many questions but I’ll start with one. I live in Central Texas and am 47 years old and grew up going to Vegas 3-4 times a year until we had kids. We haven’t been back since 2003 but it’s calling me and we’re ready to go back. I played blackjack using perfect basic strategy and it was always fun, whether win or lose (more fun winning of course). I’ve read everything about counting and follow Colin and the BJ Apprentice guys and feel I’ve really gotten comfortable counting.using there drills as well as other tools. Blackjack Blueprint is my one book that never leaves my side. Here is my question…I want to know if I should play rated or not. I know what you generally say, but I have no fantasies of doing this full time. I have a well paying career and just want to start taking advantage of comps every few months to take my wife out to Vegas. I don’t want to GIVE my money away so is there a happy medium of using a counting system but not spreading so much to gain attention? My wife and I are also interested in Video Poker and just like spending time together and casinos used to be a big part of that. What’s your advice for people like us that like staying in nice casinos on the Strip but also want to have a fighting chance to win some money while taking advantage of comps?

If that is your plan there is nothing wrong with that idea at all. Use a players card, and combine video poker and blackjack to earn your comps. Just make sure you keep your bet spread way down so you don’t get backed off. If you get backed off at one say MGM property it can effect you at all their properties.

    Hi Bob and Richard,
Long time listener, first time poster. On this podcast Bob mentions something I am interested in about Caesars 7 Star qualification for 2019-2020-2021. In the Segment about earning tier credits at Caesars properties, on or about 20 minutes and change into the Pod Bob says that he can take advantage of 7 Star Retreat in 2020 including airfair credit as well as the folio credit and also receive the same trip in 2021 without any further play in 2020. It sounded as though he had not requalified in 2020 and would still be able to do that without any further play in 2020. Is that published somewhere by Caesars that you can pass on? I have already requalified in 2020, but my wife qualified 7 Star for the first time in 2019 and we already took her retreat this year. She as of today is just at 60,000 which qualifies her as Elite Diamond and the Elite Diamond airfare. However; if she does not have to have any further play in 2020 to get full 7 Star benefits in 2021 including another retreat, we would like to have that documentation to show our hosts. Thanks
    Love the show!
