Cheating? Where? How? – Please elaborate – I viewed the video 3 times and saw nothing to indicate cheating, if anything, it was a moronic bet. I have viewed worse…

Looks like she mis-read her hand and thought she had Jack – 3. I had a similar situation at Commerce Casino years ago. Thinking I had a QQ I called all in on the flop and ended up winning on the river because my hand was actually Q9. The loosing player was furious because my call made no “poker sense”. They brought in the pit boss, checked the cameras etc…. That player even threatened to report me to his friend with LAPD. He was sure he got cheated when in reality I was playing a hand I did not have and got real lucky.

I’ve watched this video a few times and dont see anything other than a person calls with J high vs a person betting with 8 high.

He flops a straight flush draw bets she calls. OK, she has an over card with the J.

3 turn he bets she raises, thats a bluff, poor timing, he pushes all in with a lot of outs, BUT is losing the hand since he has 8 high and she has J high.

She calls he misses all his outs and loses.

That’s not cheating, thats bad poker playing. We’ve all seen it 1000 times.

In life, the guilty often accuse the innocent of doing what they are themselves doing. Might the guy with the 8 high have gone all in because he was cheating and knew she only had jack high and would most likely fold? A cheater would get mad when their cheating didn’t work. A cheater would also intimidate the other player into giving them some money.

Pokers black eye will never heal so long as a hand shuffled poker games exist in and out of casinos. Even with the use of ASM’s the black eye will never heal as poker cheat teams exist and friends playing on the same table will tend to play soft against one another.
I didn’t suspect any cheating regarding the hand between Lew and Adelstein. I believe Adelstein did do the right thing by going all-in on 4th street and many players would have folded in that situation but I also see the all-in move as a mistake because Lew could have had a made hand. With Adelstein going all-in on 4th street he took away his ability out play Lew on the river, he could have just called Lew’s raise to $20K on 4th street to out play her on the river since Lew had Jack high. Adelstein figured it out that Lew didn’t have a powerful hand after moving all-in as there was no snap call. He knew she didn’t have a 10. Lew made a terrible mistake by calling the all-in raise and got lucky to win knowing how many outs Adelstein had going to the river card (any Jack or 6, any Club, and any 7 or 8) knowing any Jack wouldn’t have improved Lew’s hand for the viewers at home. I would like to guess that two or three of the burn cards were winning cards for Adelstein. It’s been proven in poker, a player can make the wrong decision and still win the hand.
