This week our guests are two female advantage players. Rozanna Travis, and Jo started out as card counters on one of the largest blackjack teams of all times. Over the years they have played with several other teams, as well as individually. This is the first of two interviews with them.

This shows the problem with Mandalay security, they will break into a young woman’s room in the middle of the night because she happened to win at blackjack, but an older man bringing a sledgehammer and multiple guns into his room, that’s not a problem.
I just want to clarify that I was NOT kicked out of a hotel room at Mandalay Bay, that happened at a different casino up in in Reno, Nevada (I did not name the casino). Jo mentioned Mandalay in her story about a different back-room incident later in the conversation. Sorry for the confusion.
Liz never said that you were kicked out of a hotel room. You might want to re-read his or her post.
Just a comment on the “mansplaining” comment.
Per the “don’t hit a 17”. I have not only seen people hit a 17 but I have had people (men and women) ask me “what to do”. There are a lot of oversensitive people out there who have attached themselves to “feminist” terms and make assumptions about the intentions of men who speak to them.
Just last Sunday I watched a man tell his [male] buddy to not split 6s against a 5. It’s not usually gender.
I’ve had *women* try to tell me how to play (“you shouldn’t double down against an Ace” for example), shall I say she was womansplaining? Momsplaining?
This is one of my favorite shows!
