Thanks for the podcast. I want to ask a *serious* question based on what John Robinson said in regards to “Bingo”. Without naming venues, there is a state (not NV or NJ) that has racinos in which there are electronic blackjack games. Since these ETGs are in fact Video Lottery Terminals and are essentially “bingo” Class 2 games (I looked up the laws regarding this state’s racinos), then from what John said, those games are *rigged* in the sense that the house edge is whatever “edge” bingo has instead of the edge expected from the displayed rules (H17, DAS, DAH, Surr).
If true then a player on these games would be at a serious disadvantage compared to a “live dealt” game or class 3 machine.
Am I hearing and understanding this correctly?
It would explain a lot of my experiences in the last year and a half where I have practiced at home with the exact same rules using both BlackJack Verite as well as an actual 6 deck shoe (and chips!) and I have *never* seen anything close to the EV *OR* AV of my practice when I’ve played against these ETGs.
Thanks.
