Billy Baxter sure has some great stories. He mentioned that he played Gin Rummy for money. What I would like to know is how many cards each player would start out with? I believe he mentioned 7 card Gin Rummy, starting with 7 cards at what point could a player knock? I just learned how to play the game about a week ago online (10 card), in that game 10 is the minimum to knock. It’s a fun game and I like how the strategy changes. I’ve also had a chance to play some players who were better than I and I found out that I get even angrier when I’m getting my butt kicked at Gin Rummy than I do at poker. I think I’ve said just about every cuss word in the book when things are not going good at Gin Rummy but I never get so upset when I play poker.
