What information about my play can a host share with me? ADT? Rating? Etc.

Is it true that hosts are not allowed to accept cash gifts?

Is your compensation related to the amount of money that the casino feels that it can win from the customer?

When are some situations when I can ask for a comp from my host, specifically situations I’d never think of? I know about free rooms, food, free play, and shows all based upon my play, but are there circumstances I’m missing?

Are you at any point evaluated, not merely on the amount of action you give, but what you’re worth to the casino–what you play, and how well you play it?

What is the best way to approach a host if you have no or limited play at a specific casino to see if they can comp up front or what play would be expected for a comp?

What tips can you provide that would help establish a good rapport with a host?

Do hosts have any remorse as they observe gamblers losing – or do they console themselves when they pick up their paycheck?

    Are the slots manipulated?

I think you need to be more specific. What do you mean by manipulated?

A host told me not to use my player’s card if I am only going to play 2-3 hours on the day I arrive or leave because that lowers my daily average. It seems counterintuitive for a host to tell you not to play with a player’s card. Isn’t there a way to credit short plays on “get away” days.

Are Hosts ‘monitored’ for the extending of comps? Does each Host have an “account” from which extra comps can be given (deducted), or is it purely at the Hosts discretion? Examples: Free nights, F&B, show tickets, suites. Might management sanction a Host for ‘over comping’ should a normally strong player (a Whale, I’ve read the book LOL) not come through one visit out of twenty?

My above question, I meant to say “NOT a whale…). Sorry.

What are the conditions for a big slot jackpot to be awarded if it’s a local area progressive? A casino employee told me that at least 6 people have to play for the jackpot to be awarded and I believe you have to play with a large bet: I won a 2500$ jackpot on the first spin when I changed my bet from 0.5$ to 1.25$

How much communication happens between hosts and other departments like table games supervisors or surveillance? If those departments suspect you are an AP or are otherwise monitoring your play, do hosts know about that? If so, how does a typical host react?

I know this varies by casino, but how much does a player’s actual result matter? Does a losing player get better service than a winning player or is it all based on theo?

I owned video poker machines in a local bar in Illinois. This was a number of years ago. The machines were legal, however they were for “amusement only” We all paid out anyway. So, on my machines, they all had a random number generator, but they also had an internal accounting chip or let’s say an internal accounting program. The machines could be set on whatever the machine owner wanted for payouts. I learned that a 50-50 split worked great. Meaning, for every 100 dollars played, it would pay out 50 dollars. I was tutored by an old ” Machine Guy”, who aifflation will remain anonymous. This method was very profitable for me. Other tavern owners who were greedy and set them to pay out less, made far less than I did. Duh? Anyway, are the legal casino machines just like mine? I tell everyone I know they must be. If the machines were totally truly random, the House would actually be gambling. Why would they risk gambling. .They know exactly how much they keep out of every dollar played, right?

Did George C. ever update his Unbalanced Zen strategy for 8 decks? I purchased an e-book edition on Amazon several years ago that was so badly imaged for electronic publication that I had to return the purchase. The charts were illegible and the text was barely visible. I checked Amazon recently for a better version, but the search showed no results for the author and the strategy. Also, do you have an updated on George C.?
