I always like the show, this week’s show especially so. Griff was an excellent guest. Looking forward to next week.
Good interview. I’ve had my eye on this small casino lately. I like to check out casino websites to see who they are hiring for. At this one casino it seems that they have a moderate attrition rate for surveillance room personnel. They cannot keep people it seems and they are willing to take non card playing people right off the street with a high school education to become surveillance guys/gals.
I fantasized about working at this casino for awhile now but I don’t know if I would like to be a surveillance room person or a dealer so that I could interact with the players and to needle them when need be. The cool thing about the surveillance room is that I would be arm chair quarterback with a radio in my hand, high tech camera equipment to play with, and casino goons at my beck & call to direct them to people deemed as a threat! It would be thrilling to drag a player to the back room who is deemed a cheat or an AP if I were to catch them. I might even rough’em up physically once a player is in the back room. Making up my own rules as a surveillance person would soon be a necessity besides for following casino policy.
Good show.
I wonder how long it takes Grif to train his recruits in Hi-Lo counting and how proficient his new surveillance people are after his tutelage? I would have to guess that a new employee that Grif trains wouldn’t be very fast and proficient at it. How many surveillance people wash-out and just quit because they cannot do Hi-Lo counting? LMFAO. 🙂
