Bingo Rooms

Playing bingo is a leisurely way to stay busy indoors and beat the heat. The game can be played for low stakes-minimum session buy-ins range from $3 to $11 and sessions last about an hour, so your expected loss is lower than if you played blackjack for the same amount of time.

You might think that bingo has a high house edge because of the bad reputation it has earned in charity halls around the country. But bingo as it’s played in Las Vegas differs significantly from bingo at your local church bazaar. In recent years, the game has taken on the role of loss leader in Las Vegas casinos. Bingo brings players into the casino, and staggered (bi-hourly) sessions leave them with waiting time that they often spend playing the other games like slots and video poker. Competition for bingo patrons has become fierce and casinos sometimes offer guaranteed prize money that must be paid even if the anticipated number of players do not attend the session. As a result, bingo players may unwittingly encounter situations where they are playing with an advantage, especially in sessions with guaranteed prizes.
