Hello! I’m an AP from the Seattle area and I’d like to clear up something that Richard said about casinos in WA that wasn’t exactly accurate. He said there were small casinos in bars and “a few native casinos” in Washington. That’s partially true, but not exactly an accurate accounting of the availability of BJ tables in the Seattle and great Washington state area.
It is true that there are dozens of what Washington laws call “mini casino’s.” They are not allowed to have slots or video poker. Some have pull tabs machines that *look* like slot machines, but in the end, if you have a winner, you have to take a physical pull tab to the counter for your pay. These machines are not very common, but you do see them, here and there around the state. Mini-Casino’s are allowed to have 15 table games, with most locations having a table max of $300. There is the usual mix of BJ, Spanish 21, UTH, Pai Gow and Baccarat tables in most of these mini casinos. Some, have mostly baccarat tables if they are in an area that has a higher percentage of Asian populatuon. Some mini Casino’s get around the 15-table limit by having two casinos right next to each other so that they are technically two separate businesses, but are on the same property.
There are over 30 Indian casinos in WA. In the greater Seattle area alone there are about 15 in a reasonable driving distance and if you don’t mind driving a few hours, even more. Some are large with 75-100 tables and so.e are smaller. There is a stretch on I-5, just north of Seattle where there is a large Native casino every so many miles. Hope this clears it up a little.
By the way, there is a double deck game with DAS, Late Surrender, DAT, 70+% penn, $25-500, mid-shoe entry allowed and almost no heat/sweat on the late night shift in the Seattle area. Pretty good game.
