Some people say that cashless is the way of the future. During the pandemic people have written articles about cash being the new typhoid Mary. This whole cashless push by the casino industry seems like it’s truly about the end of being anonymous while on their property if every transaction is tied to a debit or credit card which can be tracked. Bankers are control freaks and they want to know what a person is spending every single penny on. I don’t like it because I see it as an invasion of privacy and the casino will also know what games you’re playing in their casinos.
If cashless is to become the future of casino gaming maybe they’ll only let people use debit cards as a way to control credit. Borrowing cash/currency on credit comes with high fees and degenerate gamblers will bury themselves faster if they are allowed to use a credit cards at the table or machine. A well known poker room I know doesn’t allow people to buy into poker tournaments with credit cards, they only want cash as of right now for payment. Maybe in 5 years the Fed will start a type of Fedcoin digital currency which will resemble a type of debit card/credit card which will be tied to everyone’s checking account for the push to a total cashless society and 100% totally phase out physical coins and paper dollars in circulation at a predetermined date. This is the end of being anonymous as the big boys want it all and they want to know how and where digital dollars are being spent with a date/time stamp on every transaction, while being under the watchful eye of a camera. I don’t like it.
