When Michael Shackleford listed his favorite casinos, he mentioned Cromwell. For those of you who are interested in staying there, please take a look at the website and make sure the style of the rooms meets your expectation. It’s a lot of heavy metal/bondage theme. The rooms are pretty dark and have dark furniture and dressers in them. I left a pair of sunglasses there because I couldn’t see them on the dresser. Also, they are shooting for the under 40, hip Euro chic crowd. The ratio of bar space to casino space might be the highest in Las Vegas. Great people watching at 11 PM for the crowd lined up for Drai’s. I’m late 50’s and the feeling I got at check in was ” Did you go to the wrong hotel? Why are you staying here?”. The valet is very polite and friendly. They rank in the top 4 of casino valet service I have ever received. I’m not saying don’t stay there, just be prepared for what you are going to get.
