So many of these super star poker geniuses have to supplement their incomes by building a brand and selling products. I find it suspicious that your guest talks tells but makes no mention of Zach Elwood who, by the way, has been a guest on your show multiple times.
I hate the “career earnings” stat. It’s misleading. “Net profit” is what matters.
I don’t think poker cheats should be blacklisted from playing in brick and mortar casinos or tournaments knowing that poker players get moved from table to table periodically and they’re not playing against the houses cash. However online poker players who cheat should be barred from online poker play if they’re caught but they shouldn’t be banned from tournament participation in a brick and mortar casino. Poker is a game that should be played in person live.
I would agree that poker software, studying poker stats, and playing online poker can help a person get better. Playing the free NLHE tournaments on PokerStars provides a tough challenge and I would like to think I got better as it wasn’t easy to win a tournament on PokerStars when I first began playing on that site. Playing for free allowed me to play more tournaments and to understand where and how I may have been making a mistake. So far I’ve won 40 different tournaments in 3 different games primarily in NLHE and 7 Card Stud 8/B.
