One rule change that I would like to see with the WSOP and poker rooms in general would be to allow players to use tobacco while in a poker game. That way I wouldn’t have to habitually break a corporate poker room’s rules which I do all the time. The poker room isn’t a special place, it’s still in the goddamn casino which allows people to use tobacco. I hate being discriminated against! What is the deal with tobacco and poker rooms? It’s stupid. Corporate poker rooms and the WSOP have perverted the game of poker by not allowing players to do what they want to do when it comes to tobacco use in poker rooms across America. I’m sick of that stupid rule!
If I had it my way I would like to smoke marijuana at the table while playing a poker game and be able to enjoy my tobacco without feeling like I have to hide it without breaking the rules. Vegas is loosening up on the laws and it’s about time that poker rooms across the U.S. take notice and start catering to all poker players.
Stop the discrimination!!! End the discriminatory practices of poker rooms!!! Non-smokers DO NOT deserve special treatment in a poker room!!! Poker rooms were meant to be smoke filled places where just about anything goes, NOT what corporate entities turned it into!!!
If you want to kill yourself by smoking, do it at home.
Poker players need to stop being pussies and should deal with it. Perhaps if casinos started having live poker tables on the casino floor instead of in the poker room I could see my wish realized and patrons could “enjoy” themselves while in the casino. Tobacco not allowed in the poker room pisses me off and it’s a stupid rule that poker rooms across the country cannot totally enforce. I’ll continue to break the poker room rules and do what I want to do in the poker room until there is a rule change.
The vast majority of times the poker dealer will look the other way and allow players to use tobacco anyways. I like it when the house dealer looks the other way when they know a violation of the rules has been committed and they say nothing to the poker host.
