In the recent LVA poll on the best locals breakfasts, Hash House A Go Go placed second in the survey, with 13% of the vote; only the venerable Peppermill surpassed it.

Still, I also suspect that many of you have heard of it and wondered what all the fuss was about.

HHAGG’s theme is “Twisted Farm Food,” but that description doesn’t do the food justice. Their fried chicken and waffles is legendary and have been featured on “Man vs. Food.” I dare you to finish it in one sitting!

They’re perhaps most famous for their breakfast hash, which is a large cast-iron skillet filled with eggs, potatoes, and a main ingredient like chicken, meat loaf, or fresh vegetables. Order one for breakfast and you’ll be all set until dinner.

I can also recommend their French toast and pancakes, each of which is the size of an entire plate.

This being Vegas, they’ve also got plenty of options for some “hair of the dog,” whether you’re there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
