{"id":871096,"date":"2025-01-23T11:06:52","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T19:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/shop\/?p=871096"},"modified":"2025-01-23T11:06:55","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T19:06:55","slug":"main-street-provisions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/blog\/main-street-provisions\/","title":{"rendered":"Main Street Provisions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br>In the heart of the Arts District, which is in a lot of ways the heart of Las Vegas, sits Main Street Provisions, which opened in late 2020 and has gotten great reviews ever since, especially after the new chef, who earned his chops (so to speak) at steakhouses on the Strip, took over a couple of years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cuisine is described as \u201cmodern American comfort food reimagined\u201d and we\u2019d add \u201cwith an international flare.\u201d A glance at the menu tells you you\u2019ll be getting exactly that: seasonable, sustainable, quality-driven food: short rib with a Korean sauce and cauliflower rice; roast chicken with parsnip pur\u00e9e; Pacific cod poached in soy and ginger; English pea and mushroom risotto ($28-$36); and steaks (from $42 for the six-ounce filet to $92 for the 30-ounce porterhouse). Appetizers include filet tartare, Cajun barbecue shrimp, short rib dumpling, and roasted octopus ($16-$28). The steak tartare ($23) was different, with more ingredients than we usually see; it was tasty and came with four big leaves of butter lettuce, but we didn\u2019t love it. The filet in a Bordelaise sauce with very creamy mashed potatoes was absolutely heavenly. The short rib was anything but short and was one of the best we\u2019ve ever had; the rice cauliflower was the perfect touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we do Main Street Provisions again, which we will, we\u2019ll get an entr\u00e9e and a vegetable, saving $50 on the appetizers and going with the more expensive steaks.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"491\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/shop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/main1.jpg?resize=480%2C491&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-871102\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/shop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/main1.jpg?w=480&amp;ssl=1 480w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/shop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/main1.jpg?resize=293%2C300&amp;ssl=1 293w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/shop\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/main1.jpg?resize=445%2C455&amp;ssl=1 445w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream &#8212; at the end of the assault<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Our bill, including the appetizers, entr\u00e9es, $14 glass of wine, and ridiculously rich sticky toffee pudding, came to $202 with tax.
