Was Mr. Bit a Maine Coon? My wife came into our relationship with Baxter, who is a Maine Coon, and while I hate all cats as a matter of principal, I love Baxter. He can no longer jump up onto our bed, so he brings his mouse into the bedroom every night in exchange for one of us lifting him up.
I know how much I’ll miss Baxter and am sorry to hear of your loss.
Thanks so very much, Bru. Baxter sounds like a real character. (Mr. Bit’s stepbrother, Rascal, earns his keep by killing flies.) Mr. Bit was a Norwegian Forest Cat, one of a pair I adopted in ’96. I do have a Maine Coon Cat, Fasolt, who’s so big he made larger-than-average Mr. Bit look like a kitten. Maybe Fasolt will make an appearance as a future “Face of the Week,” although I think the next one will be Mojo, LVA’s iguana-in-residence.
