Fox News experts pronounced it a liberal waste of time and money to the tune of something like $163,000.
How did they calculate that, you ask? Simple. They totaled up the cost of the room, light, electricity, salaries and wages, then compressed it all into the amount of time Colbert took to testify.
Makes sense, right? Except that you have to agree with the idiotic notion that nothing else was happening in that room all day; that nobody was in it, and nobody else testified before or after; that the lights and air conditioning were turned on right before Colbert arrived; and that all the people who were there appeared when he entered the room, and disappeared when he exited.
Now THAT is laughable.
