The only Clowns here apparently is the so-called writer..Mr. McKee…..I guess a LIBERAL at heart! Journalists, of course they are a dime a dozen!
Mark is right–it is insulting to clowns to use their (honorable) profession to impugn someone as unprincipled as Donald Trump. None of the clowns I know would organize businesses using their names so that the businesses would go bankrupt and those who are owed money would lose out, but they would walk away with even more money. No clown would deliberately lie again and again about claiming that the U.S. President was not born in the U.S.
Yes, Trump is one of the lowest forms of celebrity, misleading people with concern only for his personal profit. The saddest thing, Mark, is that he is preying on the most ignorant members of society–people who want a leader who believes as they do, regardless of the truth. The worst thing is that those people really believe that they can make the world better by calling names and defending their “hero” instead of doing honest research and carefully weighing information to arrive at a conclusion.
Mark S. Here at S&G we are not emcumbered by any kind of canned narrative or political agenda. We are all gamblers and folks interested in casinos. Your new hero Donald Trump has these pesky skeletons from his closet that would make Thomas Eagleton blush. Our blogologist David Mckee has paid his dues, and has every right to call out Donald Trump. In fact alot of folks like myself want him to shut up, because a Trump presidential campaign would mean some serious belly laughs. The kind of laughs that endanger lunch.
Amen Mike Alexakis
I feel bad for all of the Trump supporters that are going to go around defending him until the point he pulls out with some long winded explanation of why the position wasn’t good enough for him or something along those lines.
Two things make me additionally confident Trump will pull the rug out from under his supporters at the last moment. One, NBC has ordered more episodes of his “Apprentice” franchise, suggesting a high level of confidence that Trump’s just bluffing. Two, this silly business of trying to hold his tax return hostage, saying he won’t release it unless his demands are met. If he declares for 2012, then he’s required to release the return. I don’t think he wants to because it would probably show his income to be far less than he would like us to believe. In terms of public image, he doesn’t have much to gain and a lot more to lose.
Lawrence O’Donnell is completely convinced that Trump will bow out. Last night he ran a bit of the Donald’s NBC show where he asked Meatloaf if he should run for president. This would be a major FEC no no. I agree with jinx that this will be a blow to the folks who feel so strongly that Obama is a Manchurian Kenyan hell-bent on destroying America. This is textbook psych material for generations to study. Some of us are so filled with hatred and distrust of our POTUS that they are willing to follow anyone down the rabbit hole of Birtherism. Far right Christian conservatives are willing to let the Donald slide on myriad matters all because of his embrace of the utter nonsense. Someone should write a book…
Wait … stop … no. .. I am laughing too hard, can’t breathe. MARK S. really? This is the blog you want to put your “journalists are liberals” crap on….priceless.
Good luck voting for the Donald that won’t be on the ballot … anywhere.
Note to Mark: when your doing your random “this so called writer” critique, probably not best to put it on the blog of one of the best Vegas financial writers in the world, it just makes you clowny. Just sayin…
