Terrence Lanni, foreseeing in late 2007 that to which other CEOs in his industry — most notoriously Gary Loveman and Frank Fertitta III — were blind (or willfully oblivious). Lanni ruffled feathers two years earlier by predicting that 80% of the condominiums planned for Las Vegas would not get built … a prophecy that turned out to err on the side of conservatism.
