No formal announcement has been made but scuttlebutt has it that when the Union Plaza reopens downtown, it will have an unusual tenant for the showroom formerly occupied by The Rat Pack is Back! If true, it would mean that Tamares is taking a lead from Station Casinos, which inked a one-year pact with RagTag Entertainment last month to present Broadway fare at Green Valley Ranch every Tuesday night. As Rent winds down, next up is Side by Side by Sondheim, followed by Tommy and then St. Stevie’s Sweeney Todd.
Coming attractions. Yr. Humble Blogger is deeply enmeshed in various “Question[s] of the Day.” In days to come, you can look forward to a Riviera update, some inside dope on Mermaids and La Bayou (if I can ever run the GM to earth), the M Resort sale, the history of the Maloof family and maybe some background on the notorious Western (right), home to some of the friendliest pay tables in Vegas.

Dave. I thought you would be all over Hilton yanking their name from Colony in LV and AC! Can Colony’s casinos sink any lower???
Happy 4th!
