You’ve probably noticed an attenuated output from Yr. Humble Blogger. A backlog of commissions, including LVA mini-bios of Jay Sarno (left) and former Desert Inn exec Milton Jaffe, has put me well and truly behind the 8-ball, and may continue to do so. Heck, I’ve not even had time to bone up on Sheldon Adelson‘s stunning discontinuation of comps at Venelazzo. Short-sighted greed or sagacious business practice? You decide.

Bad link David, but I found the correct article on the Suns website. It’s shocking to discontinue comps, but even more shocking to talk to the press about it! The casino hosts at MGM and Ceasers will snatch those players right up, and it’s likely IMHO that they will hold a grudge against Sands. Perhaps they want to tap into that unusual demographic: high rollers who don’t mind paying for food and shows while they lose their arsess…
