Jim Gibbons (R-NV), proposing to zero-out — among other things — the state’s $1.8 million in grants to programs that treat pathological gamblers. A “feel good” program? The contemptuous wording speaks for itself. Considering that the State of Nevada is the primary beneficiary of casino gambling, its chief executive needs to accept “personal responsibility” rather than plan to just mooch.
