I am afraid that here in California the tribes will crush the card rooms on sports betting by putting a referendum on the ballot. It’s time for the municipalities that rely on card room revenue to hire police and firefighters to step up to the plate and fight against the tribal cartels. It pains me to describe Native American tribes as “cartels”, but I simply call them as I see them, and this feud betwwen them has been going on for quite some time. A long expensive dishonest campaign to capture votes to give the tribes another monopoly is going to be depressing… Just share and lets move on and give the average consumer the choice of where to go…
