“People ask me: What are you going to do to develop jobs in our state? Well that’s not my job as a U.S. senator, to bring industry to this state. That’s the lieutenant governor’s job. That’s your state senators and assemblyman’s job. That’s your secretary of state’s job, to make a climate in this state that says, ‘Y’all come.'” — U.S. senate candidate Sharron Angle, out on the hustings in Nevada.

the republicans had a good thing going there for a while.people dont like the spending, the health care bill, oil forever in the gulf-etc.there are millions of people out of work that need that unemployment check just to keep their head above water.well done republicans-you just took those guns you like so much and shot yourself in the foot.
How come she didn’t mention the governor as responsible for bringing jobs to Nevada? She shifted the job to everybody else. You can bet that Reid will add this quote to his arsenal, while publicizing any federal jobs for Nevadans that he can claim. Besides, how can she claim that Senator Reid is responsible for Nevada’s high unemployment, but “Senator Angle” would not be?
I was just watching some clips on news shows about Senator Robert Byrd, who died at age 92 – the longest-serving Federal legislator ever… palsied and slow-spoken near the end, but still “bringing home the bacon” in the form of government facilities and jobs to West Virginia.
If his opposition keeps putting up candidates like Angle in elections, Reid just might surpass Byrd in Congressional longevity – unless Sharron’s damn-fool “second amendmenters” decide to kill him to “protect the Constitution”.
when the “change” regime discontinues forcing u.s. businesses abroad, unemployment will lower. not before. not by hiring more census takers. not by inventing parasitic bureaucracies.
since the legit u.s., un and under employment is closer to 20%, those former nevada visitors no longer have the walk around money to spend here.
