“Since I am the king of the pie in the sky ideas. I have another brilliant one for you. Set up an interview with Anthony Santo, the new face of the Tamares [Group] upgrades, and you and I can record it for our first podcast. Also, we can do the first walk through and report on the Western Casino that anyone can remember. I have it in my mind that the Western can achieve Trailer Station type status, if we promote it properly.” — reader Jeff_in_OKC, waxing whimsical to take our minds — and his — off the intemperate weather cloaking the U.S. Incidentally, word through the grapevine confirms S&G’s hunch that obtaining the well-regarded Santo is an enormous coup for Tamares.

“Set up an interview with Anthony Santo, the new face of the Tamares [Group] upgrades…”
Do it! I want to know what he’s going to do with/to/for the Plaza and Vegas Club to stop their slide into decrepitude. These are important to the economic well-being of Downtown. (The Western, not so much.)
It doesn’t have to be a podcast. Matter of fact, it would be better as a printed interview where Mr. Santo could tell us about all the improvements that Tamares promised him that he could make with their (paltry) $20 million.
Then, when Tamares reneges, he can use the transcript in his suit against them for some kind of “breach of promise”.
Deal?
I think I’ll approach Santo about answering reader questions, in the vein of “Ask Alex!”
Good idea, David!
I got one: The last time (and the LAST time) I stayed at the Vegas Club, there was a 14″ rip in the wall covering in my room, and an empty cigarette pack on the floor in the corner – for four days. Are they still there, and will you fix them?
(There were dirty shoe prints in the tub, but I washed it for you.) 🙂
