“Suffice to say, it’s a very strange situation that someone who wants to be a representative of the state of Nevada never reached out to the No. 1 industry and even actively attacked Senator [Harry] Reid for helping it. I don’t get that.” — MGM Resorts International spokesman Alan Feldman on Sharron Angle‘s quixotic anti-CityCenter jihad.

You can also throw in some other freaky decisions the Angle team made. When she had the old rural white vote already locked in, she made the curious decision to go all-in against illegal immigration in a way that offended virtually all Hispanics, and many others. She could have outlined her positions in a way that did not include stereotypes and fearmongering. Because she made the decision to shun all media except softball-throwing conservative/religious outlets, she never honed her skills in dealing with adversity. Thats why she bombed the high school visit speech. A better candidate would have won this election for the Republicans. Reid was ripe for the picking. A candidate willing to engage the media, and be more honest would have attracted more indie voters. Perhaps she did not want to win, she sure bragged alot about the money she raised from everywhere but Nevada.
“Perhaps she did not want to win, she sure bragged alot about the money she raised from everywhere but Nevada.”
One good thing: She spent most of it Nevada. No matter that she said it wouldn’t be her job, she probably created or saved more than one job, even if they were only temporary!
