I remember the Hacienda – I won 35K at roulette in an all-night/day session back in the early 80’s
The Hacienda Lives… The back road behind Mandalay Bay, the one you must take to get in, is still named Hacienda. The Hacienda used to comp my friends who were 25cent slot players, for a whole week once a year. The South end of the Strip used to be where regular people who could not afford the Desert Inn or Ceasers stayed.
And that is why the allure of Vegas stands the test of time!
