(We could <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6232\" title=\"boyd-gaming-200\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/boyd-gaming-200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"80\" height=\"80\" \/>discuss why Station felt the need to reassure Las Vegans that it liked them, really,<em> really<\/em> liked them &#8230; but let&#8217;s cut the Fertittae some slack today.) So anyway, Boyd has rolled out a new campaign, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xXkElN3eAAs\" target=\"_blank\">one that makes you wish that it hadn&#8217;t<\/a>. First you have to get past the <em>bizarrie<\/em> of the transgendered vocals. Then, even if you liked <em>Cheers<\/em> back in the hazy yon, it had one of the sappiest theme songs ever perpetrated. Couldn&#8217;t Boyd have found something a little less &#8230; Eighties? The entire affect <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iTn2MltnZHc\" target=\"_blank\">feels wheezy and borderline geriatric<\/a>, as though Boyd were trying to cultivate a &#8220;casino for old fogeys&#8221; image. I don&#8217;t know who should be sacked first: the ad firm that devised these awful TV spots or the Boyd execs who approved them. Epic fail, guys.
