I&apos;ll be spending an extended weekend in the bucolic environs of the greater <strong>Marquette<\/strong> area. And, if I start to climb the walls, I might even poke my snout into the nearest tribal casino.<\/p>\n<p>I&apos;ll be in a neck of the woods that doesn&apos;t have cable TV, which will provide needed respite from the two most tiresome &quot;news&quot; obsessions of the moment: anything and everything related to <strong>Michael Jackson<\/strong>, and the hidden meaning in the convoluted locutions of <strong>Sarah Palin<\/strong>. Whatever her virtues, the Great Communicator she ain&apos;t. (For unimprovable concision, my favorite American president is <strong>Calvin Coolidge<\/strong>, he who said, &quot;<em>The business of America is business<\/em>.&quot; A political philosophy in six words. Hard to beat.)<\/p>\n<p>City slicker that I am, I&apos;m sure I&apos;ll stick out like a sore thumb in towns like <strong>Ishpeming<\/strong>.
