Would-be Riley successor Judge <strong>Roy &#8220;Ten Commandments&#8221; Moore<\/strong> is all for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wtvynews4.com\/news\/headlines\/67108847.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">exorcising this demonic bingo<\/a> from the state, so the governor&#8217;s got one of the best minds of the Dark Ages in his corner, at least.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Did Harrah&#8217;s Entertainment sabotage<\/strong> two riverboats on <strong>Lake Charles<\/strong>? So claims the plaintiff in an antitrust suit. The <strong>U.S. Court of Appeals<\/strong>, fifth circuit, was unpersuaded and <a href=\"http:\/\/m.lasvegassun.com\/news\/2009\/nov\/04\/appeals-court-sides-harrahs-pinnacle-louisiana-cas\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">heaved the case overboard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking of Harrah&#8217;s<\/strong>, a dog track it covets in <strong>Rhode Island<\/strong> has gone to &#8217;round-the-clock casino gambling. The locals aren&#8217;t going to like this one little bit but once lawmakers predicated their budget on squeezing another few million out of <strong>Twin River<\/strong>, the fix was in. The expanded schedule, of course, makes Twin Rivers&#8217; license that much more desirable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One Isle less<\/strong>. A former <strong>Isle of Capri<\/strong> casino in the <strong>Bahamas<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.travelagentcentral.com\/casinosgambling\/treasure-bay-gaming-resorts-takes-over-bahamas-casino-18178\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">changes hands this week<\/a>, closing yet another chapter in Isle&#8217;s ill-fated courtship of the international casino market.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Singapore&#8217;s casinos<\/strong> are still months from opening but that&#8217;s not stopping the government. It&#8217;s<a href=\"http:\/\/www.channelnewsasia.com\/video\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> already working hard<\/a> to discourage casino patronage. All the more reason for boundless optimism, no?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steve Wynn&#8217;s abrupt departure<\/strong> from the bidding over <strong>Aqueduct Park<\/strong> may have less to do with the $200 million upfront fee than with irascibility brought on by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/11\/05\/nyregion\/05aqueduct.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">neighborhood activists and gubernatorial whims<\/a>.
