Specifically, the requirement of a BBB bond rating may be knocked down a bit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lovemans-big-dice.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11903\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lovemans-big-dice.jpg\" alt=\"Lovemans big dice\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lovemans-big-dice.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lasvegasadvisor.com\/stiffs-and-georges\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Lovemans-big-dice-150x84.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>&#8212; and bond ratings are Caesars&#8217; weak underbelly. <strong>Gary Loveman<\/strong> isn&#8217;t the only big name trying to inch his way into the <strong>Inchon<\/strong> casino zone, with his $207 million project. <strong>Kazuo Okada<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Universal Entertainment<\/strong> also was rejected in the early going, but hopes to get back in with a 3,000-room resort of unspecified cost. <strong>PNC Holdings<\/strong> is looking to clobber everyone with a $1 billion proposal. While <strong>Japan<\/strong> mulls the casino issue to death, South Korea is becoming the new land of opportunity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hard Rock Hotel &amp; Casino Sioux City<\/strong> will get another day in court. The <strong>Iowa Supreme Court<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/siouxcityjournal.com\/news\/local\/iowa-supreme-court-returns-hard-rock-license-case-to-lower\/article_f6192075-7b5f-57b4-accb-84523a942fbb.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">remanded the suspension of its license<\/a> to <strong>Polk County District Court<\/strong>. The license had been stayed at <!--more-->the behest of <strong>Penn National Gaming<\/strong>, trying to cling to its <strong>Sioux City<\/strong> beachhead. Warner Gaming&#8217;s Hard Rock-branded project now gets a new look from a different district-court judge. Warner is $44 million into its project and understandably doesn&#8217;t want to leave it exposed to the elements.<\/p>\n<p>Wrote the <em>Sioux City Journal<\/em>, &#8220;In its appeal to the Supreme Court, [Warner and] <strong>SCE Partners<\/strong> say [the previous] ruling amounted to an illegal, unconstitutional taking of property, arguing it would\u00a0imperil the $128.5 million project under construction in downtown Sioux City, and expose the developer and others to &#8216;catastrophic&#8217; damages.&#8221; Penn counters that it&#8217;s going to lose a $150 million riverboat and 100% of its Sioux City business. Somebody&#8217;s going to be heavily out of pocket, whatever happens.<\/p>\n<p>I never thought I&#8217;d live to see the day when <strong>MGM Resorts International<\/strong> and <strong>Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> were lionized in hard-left <em>In These Times<\/em>. However, both companies&#8217; progressive commitment to using unionized labor forces in <strong>Maryland<\/strong> is winning them accolades. For instance, entry-level jobs at <strong>MGM National Harbor<\/strong> are expected to come with $17\/hour wages and strong benefit packages.
